June 23, 2017- June 25, 2017 97th State Annual Singing Convention
The State Annual Singing Convention, which brings thousands of people to Benson each year, began modestly in a tobacco warehouse in 1921. About 200 people listened to two choirs that day. Since that time, the State Annual Singing Convention has grown and become one of the largest and oldest gospel sings in the United States. It is held outdoors in downtown at the Benson Grove.
July 4th, 2017 4th of July Concert- Spare Change
Kick off the 4th of July with a concert in the Benson Singing Grove featuring Spare Change. Fireworks to follow at dusk.
August 10, 2017 Sundown in Downtown- Jim Quick and the Coastline Band

September 15, 2017 29th Anniversary Golf Tournament
A week prior to the beginning of the annual Mule Day's celebration a golf tournament is held at a local golf course, Reedy Creek. The tournament features a four man superball with prizes and a big cookout following a day of golfing. This is open to all levels of golfers except professionals.
September 21-24 ~ 2017 Mule Days
This festival, which draws 40,000-50,000 people, is filled with family fun and activities for everyone young and old. The weekend is packed with rodeos, a mule pulling contest, arts and crafts, vendors, street dances, carnival rides, camping, parades, bluegrass shows and more.
